Hymans Robertson, the leading pensions and financial services consultancy, has appointed Philip Pearson as Head of LGPS Investment. Philip is a senior investment consultant who has helped to develop client consulting and strategic focus on the LGPS since joining the firm and brings over 20 years of investment experience to the role.
With almost 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Philip joined Hymans Robertson in 2020. Commenting on his new appointment, Philip says:
“Investment is at the heart of all financial strategy and in this current Covid-19 environment, the expertise and insight we offer will be essential for our LGPS clients as they navigate unpredictable, and choppy, economic waters over the next few years. I am thrilled to be taking on this role at such a challenging time for the LGPS sector and for the economy and markets generally.”
Commenting on what Philip brings to the role David Walker, Chief Investment Officer says:
“Philip brings a great deal of investment and client consulting experience to this role, at a time when our LGPS investment business is continuing to broaden the reach that we have achieved over many years. The expertise he brings will enable us to extend and evolve our Investment offering as we continue to support our LGPS clients over the forthcoming months.”
