Hymans Robertson, the leading independent pensions and financial services consultancy, has announced several senior partner appointments both at Equity Member and Partner Level. Alec Day and Scott Finnie have been promoted to Equity Member and there have been 11 promotions to Partner.

About the new Equity Members:
Alec Day, Head of Actuarial Private
Alec heads up the consultancy’s Actuarial Private business unit and has worked in the pensions industry since 1998, joining Hymans in 2014 from Mercer. Alec looks after the delivery of actuarial services to private sector pensions clients and is also scheme actuary to a number of schemes. Throughout his career he has worked with trustees and sponsors of pension schemes, on the whole spectrum of pension issues including funding and risk management, benefit design, liability management, governance and legislative change.
Scott Finnie, Head of Digital Strategy TPA
Scott is leading the drive to ensure the firm’s Third Party Administration (TPA)’s technology and processes support schemes’ delivery for their members. He has a background in software engineering and joined Hymans Robertson in 2013, founding the team that delivered the firm’s Guided Outcomes technology platform. Scott became a Partner at Hymans in 2019 and joined the TPA team in 2023, establishing the firm’s Data Journey initiative. Prior to joining Hymans, Scott worked with companies including NCR, Hewlett-Packard, Sky and Standard Life.
About the new Partners:
Iain Campbell, Head of LGPS Investment
Iain joined the firm’s Investment DB team in 2020 from Mercer, having previously worked at the Greater Manchester Pension Fund. Iain became Head of LGPS Investment in 2023. As well as leading clients through their day-to-day strategic considerations, Iain has been at the forefront of supporting them through pivotal government reforms.
Lisa Deas, Scheme Actuary
Lisa joined Hymans as a trainee consultant in 2012. As a Scheme Actuary she leads work on several large DB scheme clients and advises trustees on long-term strategy and risk management, particularly run-on solutions. She also supports clients with actuarial elements of their multi-employer CDC schemes. She is Chair of the firm’s climate change steering group, integrating climate risk across the consultancy’s services and influencing industry developments.
Kate Dickson, Principal GAP Consultant
Kate joined Hymans Robertson in 2011. She is currently a Principal Consultant in the Public Sector Governance, Administration and Projects (GAP) team, working with clients on significant change projects. She’s also responsible for the delivery of the GAP team’s strategy, ensuring the needs of our Public Sector clients are met in an ever-changing landscape.
Hannah English, Head of DC Corporate Consulting
Hannah joined Hymans in 2013 in the actuarial team, and soon after qualifying, moved over into the DC team. In 2023 she became Head of DC Corporate Consulting where she specialises in DC pension scheme design, change and implementation.
Greer Flanagan, Fund Actuary
Greer joined the firm as a graduate in 2006. Since then, she has held several roles across the business including as a New Business Consultant and a DC consultant. Greer is now back in the Actuarial Public team as a fund actuary, leading the adequacy gender pension gap and climate risk offerings.
Graham Jones, Scheme Actuary
Graham joined Hymans in 2010 and advises several of our DB clients as scheme actuary and corporate consultant. He has experience advising on the journey to traditional and alternative risk transfer, scheme mergers, bulk transfers and member option exercises. He is also actuarial lead in the sole trustee team, driving service evolution to deliver the best outcomes for members.
George Leach, Head of Compliance, Hymans Robertson Investment Services (HRIS)
George joined HRIS in 2022 as Compliance Manager. He has over 20 years of experience in retail financial services with advisory and compliance roles across sectors in financial services including banking, financial advice, tax planning and pensions. George became Head of Compliance in HRIS and SMF16/17 of HRIS in 2023, and is a member of HRIS’ Management Board.
Shani McKenzie, Head of Sole Trustee Services
Shani joined the consultancy in 2007 and has held many roles in the firm, including Scheme Actuary and relationship management positions. In 2022 she became Head of Sole Trustee Services and launched the firm’s new tailored sole trustee service in 2025.
Aisling McMullan, Head of Risk
Aisling is a qualified lawyer who joined the firm’s Legal team in 2012. Aisling is now the Head of Risk, a role she took on in 2021. Her role enables the consultancy to deliver its strategic ambitions while proportionately managing risk. She helps to set and embed effective risk frameworks and provides independent oversight, challenge and assurance to the consultancy’s various Boards and senior committees.
Steve Moore, HR Director
Steve is a HR Director and sits on the firm’s Management Board. He is accountable for developing and delivering a people strategy that aligns with the consultancy’s overall strategy and culture for its some 1,400 employees. Since joining Hymans in 2007, Steve has played an integral part helping to develop the firms’ people agenda across all major HR disciplines including reward and benefits, policy and advice, technology and recruitment.
Jon Russell, Technical Architect
Jon is a Technical Architect in the Insights & Analytics team having joined the firm in 2011 as an Analyst Programmer. He has worked to engineer systems for public and private sector pensions, as well as Hymans Robertson Personal Wealth and has led extensive re-architecture programmes. He is at the forefront of building and securing the firm’s digital foundations.
