Overview
James is a senior consultant and qualified actuary in our Insurance and Financial Services practice. He is experienced in ALM, investment strategy, illiquid assets, and hedging – predominantly from his time as an ALM & Hedging Manager at Aviva.
He previously spent over six years at the insurer working in ALM, Equity Release and Annuity pricing teams. Recent Hymans projects include skilled person review of Investment Risk, illiquid asset pricing review and liquidity risk reviews.
James has recently completed a secondment to a large BPA providers market risk team, covering derivatives/liquidity and ALM trading.
He is a member of the IFoA Equity Release Mortgages working party.
