Our innovation hub, The Incubator, is made up of a team of 12 very smart individuals who are buzzing with new ideas. Their broad mix of backgrounds including UX designers, actuaries, marketing professionals and proposition developers creates a unique environment that nurtures creativity, ideas and innovation.
The Incubator anticipates the changing needs of our clients and looks at new ways we can improve the lifetime savings market. The team identifies opportunities, assesses them, then develops, researches and tests different products and services to help make the financial sector even better.
We have a team dedicated to building and testing digital prototypes – we call them the Digital Demonstrators. They create digital tools and apps that test ideas and showcase our digital capabilities. These digital tools allow our consultants to show our clients the type of tools we can create and build – they support our propositions and bring our APIs to life. Over the past year we’ve built 6 tools including our TPR segment identifier tool and our postcode longevity tool.

Introducing ‘The Fintech Feed’ – our new, technology focused podcast series, hosted by Scott Finnie, co-head of Digital Strategy.
This series explores the growing impact of data and technology on the financial services industry. The first episode asks the question: Is digital enabling financial advice or replacing it? Scott debates this topic with Patrick Ingram, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Parmenion, the award-winning technology and investment solutions business. This 30-minute podcast includes conversations around the sort of technology opportunities that exist within the financial advisory world, especially when it comes to planning for retirement. We ask the question, what is it that digital cannot achieve, that only human interaction with advisers can?
Digital innovation is happening now and we are uniquely placed to help clients thrive, turning the challenges of the data and technology revolution into opportunity.
