Our response: LGPS England & Wales - Access and Fairness consultation

The government launched its 'Access and Fairness' consultation in May, exploring proposed changes to improve equality of access for members to the LGPS in England and Wales.

This consultation highlights the importance of improving our understanding of issues such as the scheme's gender pensions gap and the scale of members opting out and why, with a focus on fairness and long-term security.
