LGPS Fit for the Future: technical consultation response and guidance briefing note

This year has seen the rapid development of the government's plans for the future of LGPS investment and governance. The latest step of this has been the government providing some early Christmas presents, in the form of:

• Two pieces of draft regulations with a technical consultation on them, with a 6-week deadline of 2 January.
• Three pieces of draft guidance, with a closed consultation inviting only funds to feed back, with a 5-week deadline of 12 January.

With such tight deadlines covering the festive period, we've provided two documents that we hope are useful to your response. The first is our draft response to the technical consultation, which you're invited to use to support your own response. The second, a briefing note on the guidance, providing a summary of new information and some important points for your consideration.
