Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of all things volunteering, and a chance to say thank you to everyone across our firm who has supported good causes over the past year.

We’re delighted to share that in 2024/25, we recorded 2,720 volunteering hours – our highest total ever, and nearly 20% up on last year’s record.

This brilliant result is down to the 300+ colleagues who’ve given their time, energy and expertise to support charities and community partners across the UK – and to our amazing Helping Hands teams, who facilitate local partnerships, coordinate opportunities and champion the value of volunteering across our offices.

From gardening, litter picking, making up hampers or offering expertise through mentorship or tutoring, our colleagues have embraced a wide range of volunteering opportunities this year. We're appreciative of everyone who gives their time to volunteer - both inside and outside of work. Their contributions helps bring our purpose - Together, building better futures - to life.

Looking ahead: maintaining momentum for 2025

2,720 hours is a fantastic achievement – but we know there’s more we can do. This year, we’re aiming for 3,000+ hours, building on what works and looking at ways to make it easier to get involved.

Here’s what we’re focusing on:

  • Impact – with more skilled volunteering and high-value opportunities
  • Ease – clearer matching with opportunities
  • Flexibility – virtual, office-based, and off-site options to suit everyone
  • Reach – extending our partner network even further

Thank you to everyone who gives their time to help make volunteering such a vital and vibrant part of life at Hymans. You can read more about our purpose - Together, building better futures - here
