A Brilliant Breakfast to build better futures

This March, our London, Birmingham and Edinburgh offices hosted a Brilliant Breakfast, a fundraising initiative from the King’s Trust that supports disadvantaged young women from across the UK.

By hosting a Brilliant Breakfast and raising funds for the King’s Trust, we’re contributing to giving young women access to training courses, job opportunities and grants covering costs of work clothing or even a young woman’s commute before her first pay cheque.

Coincidentally falling during B Corp month, The King’s Trust Brilliant Breakfast gave us a welcomed opportunity to support one of the Hymans Robertson Foundation’s long-standing charity partners. It also allowed us to learn more about the opportunities for us to get involved in supporting The King’s Trust, take a bit of time out from the day to day and shine a spotlight on the broader issues impacting women in the world of work.

The Hymans Robertson Foundation and The King’s Trust

The Hymans Robertson Foundation was established in 2016 by Hymans Robertson LLP to direct our charitable giving and support our volunteering efforts. The King’s Trust has been a valuable charitable partner of the Foundation for over five years.

The King’s Trust’s work tackles long-term unemployment, poor mental health, and poverty through access, support and confidence-building initiatives. It’s a purpose that aligns with our own, working to build better futures.

Throughout the Foundation’s relationship with The King’s Trust, we’ve hosted previous Brilliant Breakfasts and had a direct impact in raising funds to support the Trust’s schools-based Achieve programme, helping young people at risk of underachieving at school or college to engage with and succeed in education.

By continuing to support initiatives like these, we’re not just fundraising—we’re fostering confidence, access, and opportunity for young women.

The King’s Trust’s latest youth index brings a spotlight to the challenges facing young people, particularly around their future world of work. We have a long standing relationship with the Trust. It’s been “brilliant” to see colleagues at the Firm back their work through fundraising and volunteering.
