New Scottish amendment regulations regarding exit credits have now been laid.

These regulations outline how an administering authority must determine the amount of exit credit due to be paid to an exiting employer. The regulations are due to come into force from 2 April 2025. They do not apply to exit credits that have been paid on or after 1 June 2018 and before 2 April 2025.

In this publication, we cover:

  • How the current exit regime operates.

  • What's new? And, what does this mean in practice?

  • Interaction with the 90-day cessation guarantee.

  • Recommended steps to take.
