Reviewing governance structures for the LGPS
Good Governance Project Survey
17 Apr 2019
Earlier this year we were appointed by the Scheme Advisory Board (SAB) to facilitate a review of governance structures for the LGPS. To inform our review, we're aiming to capture as many views as possible from those working within the LGPS.
We would like to hear your thoughts on criteria for good governance and how four possible governance models might help funds to deliver for employers and members.
On this issue it’s clear that each fund is different, and the same model won’t work for everyone. Even within funds, stakeholders with different perspectives will have different experiences and opinions to share, so we are asking that this survey is completed based on your own role and experience.
The survey will be open until Friday 31 May and the findings will form the basis for a report that will be submitted to the SAB in July.
We're also hosting a series of events during May and invite you to register for your place below. These events will be an opportunity to hear more about the Good Governance project and discuss both the survey and LGPS governance arrangements generally.
Wednesday 29 May, 9.30am - 12.30pm
Hymans Robertson, 1 London Wall, London, EC2Y 5EA
Friday 31 May, 12noon - 1.00pm
If you have any questions about the survey or the Good Governance Project, please get in touch with one of the project team.
