To highlight this we are publishing a series of short interviews to introduce you to some of the team and the roles they hold. First up is Clive Moorhead, Head of Software Delivery (GO)
What is your role at Hymans Robertson? I am Head of Software Delivery (Guided Outcomes Portfolio). For those who don’t know, Guided Outcomes (GO) is our market-leading online solution for DC Pensions which was launched in 2013
How long have you worked here? 3.5 years
What was your route to joining Hymans Robertson? I worked as a Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer then as an Engineering Manager before joining Hymans as Product Development Manager then becoming Head of Software Delivery on Guided Outcomes
What initially attracted you to working here? The Company culture was very appealing and the opportunity to work on such an exciting, cutting-edge project. I was also impressed by the great people I met during interviews.
What is the best thing about your job? Being part of a first class team and working with great people.
What career and development opportunities have you had since working for Hymans Robertson? As the product portfolio has grown I have been developed and kept challenged by the corresponding expansion of my role and level of responsibility. There are plenty of opportunities for growth and development in Hymans, while at the same time it has a less formally hierarchical culture than many other financial services firms – I think this is very much a positive as it helps encourage collaboration and team spirit.
What’s great about working here? There are lots of things I could list here but #1 has to be the people that I work with
What inspires you? I am inspired by courage, integrity, working in a culture of excellence, and examples of setting the bar high by others which encourage me to try to do the same.
How would you describe the Hymans Robertson culture? Friendly and supportive, confident but down to earth, high standards, the leadership team genuinely care and want it to be a great place to work.
What would you say to someone who was thinking of applying to Hymans Robertson? I would say “Great choice!” It’s a fantastic place to work with high standards, full of top class talent yet also very friendly and supportive.
