Hymans Robertson, the leading independent expert in benefits and investment, is expanding its operation with the opening of a new office in Edinburgh. Martin Potter, Partner at Hymans Robertson, will head the new office, which is set to open in late summer 2009. It will initially be staffed by approximately 25 employees, both new recruits and existing staff transferring from the existing Glasgow office.
The new office will be located at Exchange Place One on Semple Street, in the heart of Edinburgh’s business district, with excellent access to both the Haymarket and Waverley stations.
Martin Potter, Partner at Hymans Robertson, said: “Our new base in Edinburgh will be our 4th national office. It will meet the growing demands of our clients and will complement our existing office in Glasgow. Naturally we have applied all the actuarial rigour that you might expect in making this move, and we’re convinced that the time is right to make this investment to continue to attract new talent to Hymans Robertson in Scotland. One Exchange Place is a great new location which suits our style and culture and gives us the flexibility needed for future growth.”
Russell Borland, Managing Partner at Hymans Robertson, also commented: “Hymans Robertson has grown steadily over the past few years with some noteworthy client appointments. Whilst we will continue to grow our London, Birmingham and Glasgow offices, we have been thinking about this expansion into Edinburgh for some time. We look forward to growing the pool of consulting excellence that we can make available to our clients, and contributing to Edinburgh’s commercial scene.”
