The Parliamentary Ombudsman, Ann Abraham, has published a report on the actions of the Department of Trade and Industry, Her Majesty's Treasury, the Government Actuary's Department and the Financial Services Authority in relation to the Equitable Life Assurance Society in the period prior to 1 December 2001.
