Marketing Assistant

The Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Marketing Assistant to join the firm’s dynamic marketing team and work closely with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Executives on all areas of their marketing activity.

Key responsibilities will include:

·         Assisting other members of the marketing team with, and in some cases taking ownership of events and publications. This could include developing concepts, drafting and sending invites, acting as the main point of contact on the day, proof-reading publications, sourcing images and liaising with suppliers.

·         Creating campaigns and surveys using Communigator and/or other software packages.

·         Setting up meetings, creating agendas and taking actions at project meetings.

·         Sourcing relevant merchandise, venues, equipment, travel etc.

·         Sending out marketing packs, brochures, invites and updates to relevant clients.

·         Providing secretarial support to the Client & Marketing Director as required.

 

The Candidate:

·         Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy and initiative.

·         Flexible and proactive, able to use own initiative.

·         Must be able to, and enjoy, multi-tasking.

·         Excellent planning and organisational skills.

·         Good interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Able and willing to learn new systems/processes/procedures.

·         Team player with a hands-on, can-do approach.

·         Able to work autonomously when required.

·         High degree of confidentiality and discretion with strong sense of integrity.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

·         Educated to GCSE / Scottish Standard or with relevant comparable experience.

·         Experience of working within a Marketing department or related environment, ideally within a professional services environment.

·         Understanding and appreciation of best practice within marketing and or similar campaigns and activities.

·         Experience of setting up and managing administrative processes.

·         Fully proficient in relevant Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet).
