We are looking to recruit a Front of House Assistant to provide an efficient, professional reception and high quality catering service. Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator the successful candidate will also be responsible for providing general administrative support to other areas of the Facilities department, together with other Facility support functions.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

Preparing tea, coffee and lunches in line with requests.

Ensuring efficient catering service for additional events.

Meeting and greeting all our clients and employees.

Monitoring meeting rooms, clearing and preparing for the next meeting.

Ensuring the reception and kitchen areas are clean, tidy and sufficiently stocked with all required materials.

Ensuring contractors and visitors are signed in and out, advising Facilities Coordinator as required.

Answering calls politely, quickly and efficiently.

Booking and recording all taxi requests.
-
Recording and handling all incoming and outgoing couriers.
-
Updating internal telephone records of key client contacts and staff.

Maintaining the meeting room diary.

Process catering invoices.
-
Researching value suppliers.

Ensuring areas of responsibility comply with Hymans Robertson’s health and safety policies and procedures.

Certifying catering facilities adhere to food hygiene and health and safety standards.

Generally assisting the Facilities Coordinator with any other ad hoc facilities related business requirement.

Experience:

Previous demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a reception desk within a professional services or similar environment, including meeting clients, room management and the provision of catering services.
- Previous catering experience within a professional services or similar environment.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge:
- A detailed understanding of catering and reception support within a professional services or similar environment.
- A detailed understanding of Health & Safety standards relating to the handling of food.
- An understanding of basic food presentation.
- Strong understanding of client care.
- Basic understanding of office related health and safety.
